cristina pleease omg....i got an email from chris larson fhm magazine saying he needs to do a shoot on sept 10 and 11th. It is a payed shoot no nudity or adult content. There will be 5 outfits and so on. He liked my look from this website and model mayhem. He said i will get paid $1350 for the whole project and the job is urgent. Everything is taken care of, outfits, hair and food and traveling expenses i can also bring an escort. I think it sounds too good to be true. Next thing you know, without warning he sends me 3 $500 american express travelers cheque..im supposed to deduct my first payment of $350 to guarantee my participation and send the rest to the wardrobe stylist Craig Rabideau who is in PA im in NY not too far. what do you think cristina?? I just find it extremely odd how one will send money out to a model that he never even met! he never even interviewed me!! is this professional?? pleeease get back to me asap im about to cash the checks today!

same thing happened to me on model mayhem. dont put your email address on your portfolio or phone number.
if the agent is really interested in you they can send you a message and later you can exchange real email address.
its worked for me, haven't had a scam like that sent to me again. hope this helps anyone that reads it. :)

Hi Karin,

I am glad you e-mailed me. This is a scam! I am hoping many others read this post, so they do not get taken. Basically this is what would happen. You would take the checks they sent you to the bank and deposit them. Then you would send the remainder of the money to the stylist by sending your own personal check. In about two weeks, your bank would notify you the checks you deposited were fraudulent and deduct the money from your account. Then you are out all the money you sent the stylist, who is really the scammer...
