Hi Christina,

Two things:

1. Just saying hello... haven't been around here much in the last year. Not much success to report yet, but still at this! Hope you're well, looks like the site is growing!

2. Been networking like crazy with models and photographers around me. Just not much work around here right now. But... everyone always says "keep shooting.." Well that's all fine, but really what does that mean? Sure I could go out and pay for a shoot once a week... not a great business model!!! What I figure that means is go out and find photographers that want to shoot for trade. But in my market/age range there just aren't photographers that want to work for free. Good commercial photographers are high in demand and don't want to shoot TF. I could probably shoot with some newb's, but the images I get won't really be worth anything in terms of port building. So, what's a 40+ year old to do... to "keep shooting"???

Hi Steve,

Another idea might be to get on Model Mayhem, post what you have and note in your profile that you are avail for couples modeling. A female model may contact you for a trade she is doing with a photog. Exhaust all possibilites.

Cheers,
Victoria

Hi Steve,

I understand your predicament.

Understand though that even if you are shooting with a "newb" there is still experience gained on your end and theirs. Just by working with various photographers your skills working in front of the camera increase. You also never know, you may come out with an amazing photo that you can incorporate into your book...
