If I could have a super power...PHOTOGRAPHIC MEMORY! I dont even know if thats considered a super power, but I think any college student can agree that having a photographic memory would be so helpful. It'd be awesome if I could look at something and never forget it, I would have so much more free time!
How was your experience at the e.l.f. Cosmetics photoshoot?
The e.l.f. cosmetics shoot was so amazing for me because it really was a dream come true. I am OBSESSED with watching youtube videos about makeup, and e.l.f. cosmetics are so popular in so many of the videos that I watched. I already had a huge collection of their products before I even knew about their casting. I always dreamed of modeling for cosmetics, but never imagined I would become the face of a brand that I truly believe in.
What was your reaction when you found out you were chosen as the TOP MODEL?
Oh my gosh I can not even begin to describe how I felt when I got a phone call saying that I was the one they chose. Any struggling model out there can relate to the fact that you win some, but mostly you lose some. I was just so ecstatic to find out that they actually wanted me to come be a finalist, because I never imagined that out of all the beautiful entrants theyd actually choose me! So when I found out that I was their number one choice, it was like the cherry on top. I went out to celebrate like a good little model and ate a ton of cake and ice cream. Hearing those words was like winning the lottery for me, like I said, I truly cant even put into words the feeling, it was just too good to be true.
Can you tell us a little bit about yourself?
I'm currently a full time dental student. I'm in my 3rd year working towards my degree to become a dental hygienist. I'm also currently training for the Miss Massachusetts USA pageant in november!! When my head is not buried in a book, which it is almost always buried in a book, I really enjoy yoga, watching movies, and on the rare ocurance SLEEPING! I absolutely love make up and if all else fails, I wouldnt mind experimenting in the beauty industry.
How did you first get started in modeling?
I wanted to be a model since I was young enough to understand what pictures were. I have pictures of myself posing from a very young age. I'd have to say I've been modeling my whole life, but professionally I started trying to break into the market at 14. It took me until I was 18 for my career to really take off though.
What are your favorite things about modeling?
I love modeling because in life I have tried so many things that I have always been second best at, and modeling is the one thing I can say I'm truly good at. In high school, I was not the best athlete, but a good athlete. I'm very smart, but was not always the smartest. I was a good dancer, but by far not a great dancer. When I discovered modeling I was a natural from the start. I never needed to practice posing, take classes, or try to improve. Sure, I have come a long way from my first photo shoot, but the second I got in front of a camera I knew that I had found my calling. I love how natural and easy it is for me to be in front of the camera, I really feel at home. I also have made so many great friends through modeling, because I seem to find that a lot of other models have so much in common with me, and that has to be the best gift of it all.
What is your modeling dream job?
Well if you had asked me this a year ago, I'd say being the face of a cosmetic company, but I would have really been dreaming. Since I accomplished that dream, I guess I would have to say walking down the runway in the Victoria Secret fashion show. I know I'm probably not being realistic, but hey a girl can dream! haha! I love watching it every year because it just looks like those girls are having the time of their lives while doing what they truly love!
What are you currently obsessed about?
Is it bad to say that my current obsession is my toothbrush?! I know I know, call me crazy but I mean I am a dental student so it only fits..hahaha! They gave us this really cool toothbrush that actually has blue tooth in it and tells you exactly how to brush your teeth, and for how long on a little screen that comes with it. I know I'm such a nerd, but hey pretty teeth equals a pretty smile, which is essential for a model...right?
Do you have any hobbies?
I love doing vinyasa flow yoga. It really helps me to relax as well as get my cardio in, and sweat like crazy! While I'm taking a class I'm not wishing it would end like I might be doing during a run, its something I can actually enjoy. I'm very lucky because a local studio offered to sponsor me for my upcoming pageant, so I have no excuse not to go.
What is currently your favorite piece of clothing?
I am overly obsessed with my black blazer from H&M. I'd have to say its probably one of the best investments I've ever made. I can throw on just a plain tshirt and jeans, and the second I throw my blazer on it looks like I actually put time and thought into my outfit. It dresses up everything! I get so many comments when I wear it, people will literally tell me how nice my outfit is, and I'm like really? Its just an old tshirt and worn out jeans. I literally throw that thing on with every outfit I own. Its definitely my go to staple piece.
If you could have a super power, what would it be and why?

It'd be awesome if I could look at something and never forget it, I would have so much more free time! I guess it might be cool to fly to, I dont think I'd complain if I was stuck with that instead.
Do you have a secret passion?
My secret passion is by far watching youtube beauty videos. Its kind of an addiction for me. Some people get addicted to TV shows and get excited to watch them, for me, I get so excited when I see a new video has been posted. Its my guilty little pleasure to take time away from my hectic day and learn something new. Now that I'm in school though, I literally have to schedule in time to watch videos because if I just sit down and ignore the time, I might get carried away and spend hours in front of my mirror learning thousands of different ways to do a smokey eye. At the very least, its paid off because if I go to a shoot and there isnt a makeup artist for whatever reason, I can do just as good as a professional from all the tips and tricks I've picked up along the way.
